About CEP Youth Leadership
Today’s youth face overwhelming pressures and problems. CEP Youth Leadership was created in 1978 to help elementary through high school aged youth develop skills to address these problems and be able to face challenges today as youth, and tomorrow as young adults.CEP Youth Leadership serves over 1,000 youth annually with programs ranging from mentoring and leadership to performance groups, outreach/volunteer services and special community-based events. The goal of every program or event is to help students gain the necessary skills to become healthy, hardworking, confident adults who understand the value of giving back to the community.
With passionate and involved board members and staff, CEP Youth Leadership continually refines their programs to respond to the most urgent issues facing both the students and communities in the area. CEP Youth Leadership works in cooperation with park districts, neighborhood organizations, schools, social service agencies, and police departments in an effort to expose students to a wide range of experiences, people and opportunities.
As a result, youth who are active in CEP Youth Leadership programs build character and gain new confidence, competence, and compassion that inspire them to continue their service- oriented lifestyle into their future.
